L’Oli Ferrer extra virgin olive oils are made in an artisanal way, using the technology to obtain a Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) of the highest quality.
This oil is obtained by mechanical procedures and cold extraction. In order to label this product with the term ‘cold extraction’ the process temperature cannot exceed 27º, in the case of L’Oli Ferrer the temperature is around 21º-22º C.
With this technique you get the least amount of olives, but it is the one that ensures you get a high quality natural olive oil, from the organoleptic and gastronomic point of view, being a heart-healthy EVOO given its high concentration of oleic acid and polyphenols.
We elaborate gourmet and organic extra virgin olive oils, with low acidity between 0.1º to 0.23º, which indicates that the olive oil has no defects and has been made with the highest quality raw material, selecting the fruit meticulously and grinding in a few hours, to get all the properties of an exceptional EVOO.
Our EVOO are made with the Arbequina variety, one of the most appreciated varieties within Mediterranean oils. This produces a very characteristic oil since it is sweet, without any bitter touch and a bit spicy. In addition, its flavor is usually fruity, very aromatic and mild, since it has a high percentage of oleic acid, which contributes to reduce bad cholesterol (LDL) and to increase good (HDL).
